HC reserves orders on fresh PSA against Asiya Andrabi

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Tuesday reserved for orders the petition filed by chief of Dukhteran-Milat, Asiya Andrabi against fresh Public Safety Act against her while the court quashed PSA against three persons including a septuagenarian.   Official sources told PBI that after hearing the counsel for the detainee, advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir reserved for orders the petition, challenging the second successive PSA imposed against her by the authorities on April 13 last.  Andrabi is lodged in Kot Balwal jail Jammu.Meanwhile, Justice Hakeem Imtiyaz Hussein after the hearing counsel for petitioner and prosecution, quashed detention orders under PSA against three persons including Sanaullah Dar (70), Ghulam Qadir Sheikh and Hilal Ahmad. The detainees were represented by advocate Mehraj Azeem, advocate Imtiyaz Ahmad Sofi and B A Tak respectively.
