4 killed, 20 injured in mishaps

Srinagar: Four persons including a 10-year-old boy were killed while 20 others were injured in separate road mishaps across the Valley.Official sources told Press Bureau of India that driver of passenger vehicle was killed and eighteen passengers injured in a collision between mini bus (JK03-1570) and bus (JK02AE-6091) at Malpora Mir Bazaar in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.When contacted, Station House Officer, Gulam Jeelani Mughal confirmed the incident to PBI and identified the deceased driver as Javed Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Shaban of Supat Kulgam.In another accident, a Tata sumo (JK01J-8024) hit and injured a boy identified as Bilal Ahmad Ganie son of Late Manzoor Ahmad at his village, Ganapora Crossing in Handwara town in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The ten-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries on way to SKIMS here, a police spokesman said.  In yet another mishap, the spokesman said, an alto car (JK15-0609) hit and injured a 17-year-old girl, Asmat daughter of Hayat Ahmad Lone of Kondbal at Waskora Ganderbal in central Kashmir. The injured was shifted to SKIMS here where she succumbed to her injuries.  Meanwhile, a man—Sonaullah Baba son of Abdul Ahad of Repora, who was injured on Sunday Last at Lar Ganderbal, succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura.  Two more persons were injured in mishaps at Iqbal colony Shalteng Parimpora in outskirts of here and Dardpora Rawatpora in frontier Kupwara district. The injured were hospitalized.
