Govt mulls Cable Car project for Shiv Khori

REASI, (KMW News): The state Government has framed a plan to construct Cable project at Shiv Khori for attracting maximum number of pilgrims to the revered shrine on the hillock, said Dr. Manmet Motan, EO Shiv Khori Shrine Board.
A team of experts, including MD JK Cable Car Corporation, Tufail Mattoo, and Addl GM RITES Limited, a Govt of India Enterprise, N.K Srivastava GM, J K State Cable Car Corporation, Badrul Jamali, Secretary Cable Car Corporation Ajaz Ahmad and officers of forest Department accompanied by EO Dr. Manmet Motan conducted a survey for the project on Tuesday.
Dr. Motan said the cable car to Shiv Khori will serve as a facility for devotes and also a major attraction for tourists.
“We are committed to Bring Shiv khori on our tourist map and develop attractive facilities there & this cable car is part of this endeavour” said Rajinder Singh Tara VC Shiv Khori Shrine Board.
Located amid picturesque Sanger mountain range Reasi district, Shiv Khori is emerging as major pilgrim destination in the state .
Near about 9.08 lakh pilgrims visited the Shiv Khori during Last five months and number is expected to increase in the coming days.
