Srinagar, Nov 12 (KMW): Government forces on Monday night launched a cordon-and-search operation at Drabgam and Kareemabad villages in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports reaching news agency said that a joint team of army’s 55 RR, 182, 183 CRPF and SOG Pulwama laid a siege at Hergam area of Kareemabad late this night.
The joint team, reports said, have also installed lighting facility in the area.
All the entry and exit points have been sealed by a strengthened posse of the joint forces, they said.
Meanwhile, the joint team also laid a seige at Drabgam village late this night.
A police officer also confirmed both the operations and said that they were launched following inputs about the movement of some suspected militants.
