Governor administers oath to 10 new Ministers

JAMMU: Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra, today administered the Oath of Office and Secrecy to the new Members in the State Council of Ministers at the Oath Ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.

Of them, six are Ministers for the State; three are Ministers of State with Independent Charge and one Minister of State.
The Ministers who took Oath as Ministers for the State (Cabinet) are Mr. Mohammad Akbar Lone, Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan, Mr. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Mr. Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Mr. Abdul Majid Wani and Mr. Mir Saifullah.
Mr. Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo, Mr. Feroz Ahmad Khan and Mr. Nazir Ahmad Khan (Gurezi) were administered the Oath as the Ministers of State with Independent Charge, while Mr. Vikar Rasool Wani took Oath as Minister of State.
Present on the occasion were First Lady, Mrs. Usha Vohra; Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah; Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Tara Chand; Chairman, Legislative Council, Mr. Amrit Malhotra; Deputy Chairman, Legislative Council, Mr. M. Y. Taing; Ministers; Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz, MP and President, Pradesh Congress Committee; Members of Parliament; Mr. Mohan Prakash, General Secretary AICC, In-charge J&K; Legislators; Chief Executive Councillors of Leh and Kargil Hill Development Councils; Chief Secretary, Mr. Madhav Lal; Director General of Police, Mr. Ashok Prasad, senior Civil and Police officers, political leaders and prominent citizens.
Earlier, the Governor on the recommendation of Chief Minister accepted the resignations of Mr. Surjit Singh Slathia, Mr. Qamar Ali Akhoon, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik, Aga Syed Ruhulla Mehdi, Mr. Rajinder Singh Chib, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani and Mr. Javid Ahmad Dar from the Council of Ministers. (KMW News)
