Geelani concerned over killings in Pak

Srinagar: Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani in a statement has expressed his anxiety and deep sorrow over the prevailing situation in Pakistan and asked all patriotic forces in Pakistan to take note of the events and understand the need of the hour and observe wisdom.

He advised them not to be a part of any sort of expedition aimed to destabilize the country. Syed Ali Geelani while referring to the vested powers said that Pakistan being a prime target for these countries , may take advantage of present situation and would damage it.
Tuesday in a statement, Syed Ali Geelani while reviewing the present political dilemma in Pakistan added that ,”though we are not directly related with the politics of Pakistan but as a matter of fact the prevailing situation in Pakistan has direct impact over the Kashmir dispute and India would try to take advantage from all this”.
Syed Ali Geelani reiterated that everybody has a right to expression and is free to address gatherings and organize the processions but peace, welfare and stability of the state deserves top priority.
“Pakistan is a target and at present in a state of incursion from all vested powers, it is obligatory duty for every patriotic citizen to refrain from such acts which in turn may escalate the already deteriorating situation” , added Syed Ali Geelani.
Hurriyat Chairman has said that a stable Pakistan stands a guarantee for the resolution of Kashmir dispute otherwise in absence of peace and tranquility in that country would have a negative effect
Syed Ali Geelani taking dig at India said that India in wants to maintain status quo with regards to Kashmir problem, and added that “India never want a prosperous and stable Pakistan and its attempts to destabilize Pakistan has never diminished till now”.
