Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Friday that the MQM should first evolve consensus on new provinces before tabling a resolution.
Speaking in the National Assembly, he said that majority of lawmakers supp
orted him for carving out Saraiki province. He said he was in support of new provinces and NA speakers’ ruling was awaited on Sraikai province.
“History will not pardon us, if we don’t work for new province,†he added. He said that people had met him to discuss issue of new province.
He said that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain requested him to evolve consensus on Hazara province. (KMW News)
