Srinagar: Chairmen of both the factions of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq continue to be under house arrest at their respective residences, sources told.

The leaders were put under house arrest on Friday. While Geelani was arrested while he was proceeding for Friday prayers at a local mosoque, Mirwaiz was informed about his house detention soon after he returned from the Jama Masjid after offering Friday prayers.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Zafar Akbar Bhat, Javed Ahmad Mir, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Yasmeen Raja and others were detained by police and shifted to Central Jail Srinagar.
People across the separatist spectrum have condemned the authorities of the curbs on movement of separatist leadership. (KMW News)
