Srinagar: An indefinite curfew has been imposed in twin towns of Shopian and Kulgam in south Kashmir as a precautionary measure following violence in which four people were killed in alleged Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) firing at Gagran yesterday.
Massive violence erupted in Shopian and other parts of the south Kashmir yesterday after four people were killed near a CRPF camp at Gagran, about 52 km from here.
Security forces burst teargas shells and resorted to lath charge to disperse the demonstrators, who alleged that all the four deceased people were innocent civilians.
