Srinagar: Life remained affected for the second day today in the summer capital, Srinagar, and other major towns and tehsil headquarters in the Kashmir valley.
Yesterday, strike was observed against the music maestro Zubin Mehta’s ‘Ahsaas-e-Kashmir’ concert held in Shalimar garden on the bank of world famous Dal Lake last evening.
However, today the general strike was observed on a call given by both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC), People’s Political Party (PPP), Chairman, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and other separatist organisations in protest against the killing of four persons, allegedly in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) firing at Gagran Shopian yesterday.
