Fresh batch of 4,307 yatris leave for Amarnath

Jammu: A fresh batch of 4,307 pilgrims today left for Kashmir for darshans at the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Base Camp here amid tight security arrangements.
“Another batch of total 4,307 pilgrims comprising 2,808 males, 1,252 females, 46 children and 221 sadhu left for Amarnath in a convoy of 121 vehicles this morning at around 0500 hrs,” a police spokesman here told.
They said 39 state road buses, 48 privates and 34 light motor vehicles left for the cave from the base camp.
