Four members charred to death in fire at Doda

DODA, MARCH 01 – In an unfortunate incident of devastating fire that engulfed the house of one Abdul Rashid R/O Dalyuon (Gadan), Tehsil Bhagwah, District Doda during the intervening night of Feb 29 and March 1, four members of a family were charred to death.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Rashid S/O Rusal Butt (56), Fatta Begum W/O Abdul Rashid (54), Mubina Begum W/O Nisarr Ahmed (17) and a minor girl child of 07 months.
Deputy Commissioner Bhupinder Kumar along with Senior Superintendent of Police Z.N Manhas, Tehsildar Doda Nasir Ali, Tehsildar Bhagwah Mohit Gupta and other officers of District Administration rushed to the spot and supervised the rescue and relief operations.
An amount of Rs 10,000, Tent, Blankets, Kitchen kit, Ration, Buckets and other necessary items were distributed as an immediate relief to the next of kin of deceased members. The cause of fire is still not known but Police is investigating the matter. District Administration has expressed extreme grief and solidarity with the family of deceased and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. DC further assured that all possible help and relief will be provided to the family of those who lost their life and property in this incident.
