Srinagar, April 22: On the occasion of Earth Day, Fortis Healthcare, in collaboration with the Kashmir Health Project (KHP), successfully organized a walk imparting awareness about the cleanliness of Dal Lake & the health impacts associated with it. The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the importance of preserving the iconic Dal Lake in Srinagar.
Over 100 enthusiastic volunteers from various walks of life participated in the event, demonstrating their commitment to safeguarding the natural beauty of the region. The event was flagged off in the presence of Mr. Pradeep Chandra (IPS), Officer of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Jammu & Kashmir as the chief Guest. The walk commenced at Lalit Point & Zabarwan, Dal Lake, Srinagar, starting at 11:00 a.m., amidst a backdrop of scenic vistas and serene waters.
In a statement issued to the Kashmir Media Watch, The joint initiative by Fortis Medical Centre, Srinagar and Kashmir Health Project reflects their shared dedication to community health and environmental sustainability. By engaging in activities like lake cleaning, the organizations strive to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment among citizens.
