Farooq Shah chairs BoDs meet of Food Craft Institute

JAMMU, APRIL 25: The Secretary Tourism and Floriculture, Farooq A Shah today chaired the Board of Directors (BoD) meeting of Food Craft Institute here.

The other members MD JKTDC and Director Tourism Jammu were represented by GM Jammu and Joint Director Tourism Jammu besides Principal IHM Srinagar Mr Srivastav, Principal FCI Jammu Jyoti Bhati and Deputy Director Tourism Kashmir were also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Secretary was informed that more than 7000 boys and girls were imparted the skills in the trade of housekeeping, front office, food production and F and B service. This all has been done under the National Skill Development Programme ‘Hunnar Sey Rozgaar’.

It was also decided that a two year diploma courses and six month short term courses in the above mentioned trades would soon be commenced besides this the institute may train drivers by imparting behavioral development and soft skills and technical training in the driving.
