Engineer Hilal War Put under House Detention

Srinagar: June 21(KMW): Jammu and Kashmir Police today put senior leader of Hurriyat Conference and People’s Political Party ( PPP ) Chairman Engineer Hilal Ahmad War under House detention.

Police officials informed the Engineer Hilal Ahmad War about his house detention early in the morning at 6 a.m. today and said that he can’t move out from his Maisuma residence.

A party spokesperson condemned his arrest in strongest possible words saying it amounted to State oppression and a denial of right to expression.
