SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon convened a high level meeting today to review the situation arising out of recent snowfall. He also took stock of supply position in the valley.

The Divisional Commissioner directed the heads of departments to ensure cent percent attendance of employees and directed them not to leave their headquarters without prior permission. He asked the officers to be empathetic while dealing with public and address their grievances within minimum possible time.
Dr. Samoon has asked the PDD and PHE departments to ensure power and water supply to the people.
Dr. Samoon urged the concerned to intensify market checking to ensure availability of essentials on fixed rates. He said that valley is well stocked in food grains and other essentials.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Principal Government Medical College, SP Srinagar, Director Health and other concerned officers.
Later, Divisional Commissioner accompanied by a team of officers toured Jama Masjid and interacted with a number of delegations. The delegation submitted many demands concerning Jama Masjid. Dr. Samoon directed the concerned officers to take necessary action on this count. (KMW News)
