Addressing a huge gathering at the shrine of Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA), Charar-e-Sharief, Mirwaiz said that tension on LOC apart from affecting Kashmiris, also had negative fallout on the relations between India and Pakistan.
He said justice and humanity demands that Kashmir issue should be solved according to the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people. Mirwaiz stressed that Kashmir issues remains pending disposal since 1947. He said no electoral process can change this basic reality, a statement issued to KMW said.
APHC Chairman said the elections in the world have been the vehicles of change, but in Kashmir they have been used to subvert the truth and impose stooges of the choice on the people. He said the APHC has repeatedly put forth the truth behind these elections before the world and now the revelations by the former Chief of Army Staff General V. K. Singh has substantiated Hurriyat’s true speak. He said former General has unmasked the name sake democratic process as he has aptly pointed out how the loyalty of so called main stream politicians was bought against monetary considerations from time to time.
Mirwaiz said in reality, these parties are representing Indian vested interest in Kashmir. Expressing concern over this phenomenon, he said that these parties and Governments framed by them were involved in bloodshed of Kashmiris and providing protection to Indian troops involved in ghastly abuse of human rights violations in Kashmir.
Hurriyat chairman made it once again clear that it is the imperative wish of the people of Kashmir that Kashmir dispute be solved through a meaningful and result oriented dialogue. He said in case India and Pakistan seriously pursue the talks to address Kashmir issue then APHC would extend its full support to the process.
APHC Chairman said that aspirations of people can’t be suppressed on gunpoint or through military might. He said that Afghanistan and Palestine are the prime examples in this regard where the stakeholders have finally taken course to talks to solve these issues, the statement issued to KMW reads.
Mirwaiz said that Kashmiri voice can’t be choked and strangulated through terror and suppression. He said the international community is aware of the fact that Worlds third largest Army despite unleashing interminable oppression from decades on has been unable to defeat the Kashmiri aspirations of our people. He said Kashmiris were not against any nation or religion, but they are demanding their rights and fulfillment of the pledges made to them.
APHC Chairman asked India to shed its obduracy and start the process of demilitarization from Kashmir as a goodwill step. He said it would help in creating a conducive atmosphere for a purposeful dialogue for a peaceful resolution of Kashmir issues.
Shedding light on his Islamic teaching and social reforms, APHC Chairman paid glowing tributes to the greatest and highly respected Kashmiri sufi saint, Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani (RA), also known as Nund Rishi.
Amid pro-freed slogans, Mirwaiz said the people of Charar-e-Sharief have offered sacrifices for the cause of freedom. He further suggested the people to celebrate eid with austerity and help poor and needy on the eve of holy festival.
Earlier, Mirwaiz was received by Khateeb and Imam Mohammad Moulana Ameer-u-Din along with hundreds of youth. On his arrival to chrar, APHC Chairman first went to the shrine of Almdar (RA) and offered Fath-e-Khwani.
