DHSK visits SDH Achabal, PHC Brakhpora hospital

Srinagar, January 30: On the directions of Additional Chief Secretary Health and Medical Education, Shri Vivek Bhardwaj, Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Sunday visited SDH Achabal and PHC Brakhpora and took stock of the health care arrangements.

A spokesperson of the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) said the director along with CMO, deputy CMO besides other health officials visited the two hospitals and took stock of the health care arrangements for patients.

The director inspected all the sections including USD section, x-ray section and wards of the hospitals and also interacted with patients regarding health care arrangements.

Dr Mushtaq directed that all the sections should run 24/7 without any difficulty and stressed on increase in Covid-19 testing in order to contain the spread of Covid-19.

During the visit, the director also met a delegation of people of Achabal area who appreciated the work of SDH Achabal and raised some demands.

However, they demanded that the vacant posts of doctors and paramedical staff in the hospital should be filled at the earliest. The delegation also demanded that operating facilities at the sub-district hospital should be started.

The director gave them a patient hearing and assured that very soon the operating facility will be started and instructed the concerned officers to take it on priority and start the theatre facility in the hospital.

While interacting with the delegation of people, Dr Mushtaq sought the cooperation of people in mitigation of Covid-9 and asked them to follow Covid-19 SOPs in order to safeguard the society.
