DC Kargil chairs DLRC, DCC meeting, stresses on collaborative efforts by banks, line departments

Kargil, Jan 28: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse today chaired the District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting for the quarter ended September 2024 and December 2024.

The meeting was attended by heads of concerned departments, the Nodal Officers of banks in the district, representative of Crisil Foundation and other concerned.

The meeting reviewed achievements of the Annual Credit Plan and various Government Sponsored Schemes for the quarter ended September 2024 and December 2024.

While presenting the performance of various banks operating in the District, Lead District Manager (LDM), the convener of the meeting, Gulzar Ahmad Dar informed that Credit Deposit Ratio has improved from 41.02 percent on March 2024 to 43.98 percent as of Sep-2024 registering a growth of 2.96 percent.

The Lead Bank Manager also briefed the DC on the banks’ performances in priority and non-priority sectors, covering areas such as agriculture, education, housing, renewable energy, social infrastructure, MSMEs and self-employment schemes like NRLM, KCC, PM-SVANIDHI, PMEGP, PMFME, etc.

Further, branch heads of various banks apprised the Deputy Commissioner of achievements and future plans to improve performance in these parameters. 

The Deputy Commissioner directed all banks to improve the CD ratio further. During the meeting, the DC Shrikant instructed the heads of departments to boost up the sponsorships and the education loans.

The DC also urged banks to establish new branches/BCs in the districts. He also instructed for prioritizing banking facilities in unbanked rural areas.
