Curfew-like restrictions in Srinagar to prevent Tazia procession

Srinagar, Nov 13 (KMW): Curfew-ike restrictions have been imposed in most parts of the summer capital, Srinagar, since early this morning to prevent ‘ Tazia procession’ on the eighth day of Muharram month.

According to Police Control Room (PCR), restrictions under Section 144 CrPC have been imposed in some areas of the civil lines to prevent any law and order problem.

However, the situation on the ground was entirely different as security forces and state police personnel had closed all main roads and bridges in the civil line, uptown and other areas of the city with the help of barbed wire since early this morning.
