JAMMU, MARCH 10: The Government on Wednesday informed that 97 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 16from Jammu division and 81 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 127288.Also 03 COVID-19 deaths have been reportedfrom Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 54 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 07 from Jammu Division and 47 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 127288 positive cases, 899 are Active Positive, 124421 have recovered and 1968 have died; 729 in Jammu division and 1239 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 5462245test results available, 5334957 samples have been tested as negative till 10thMarch, 2021.
Till date 1369145 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 31821 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 899 in isolation and 113019 in home surveillance. Besides, 1221438 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 27405 positive cases (including 46 cases reported today) with 425 Active Positive, 26517 recovered (including 15 cases recovered today), 463 deaths; Baramulla has 8359 positive cases (including 16 cases reported today)with 90Active Positive, 8092 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today), 177 deaths; Budgam reported 7946 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today)with 53 active positive cases, 7773 recovered (including 06cases recovered today), 120 deaths; Pulwama has 5894 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 41 Active Positive, 5762 recovered (including 01 cases recovered today)and 91 deaths; Kupwara has 5705 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today), 15 Active Positive, 5593 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 97 deaths; Anantnag district has 5067 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 32 Active Positive, 4947 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today), 88 deaths; Bandipora has 4722 positive caseswith13 Active Positive and 4647 recoveries, 62 deaths; Ganderbal has 4684 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today)with 18 Active Positive, 4619 recoveriesand47deaths; Kulgam has 2745 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 14 Active Positive, 2677 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today)and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2615 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today),14 active positive cases, 2561 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today)and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 25349 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 151 active positive cases, 24821 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 377 deaths; Udhampur has 4319 positive cases, 04active positive cases, 4258 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)and57 deaths; Rajouri has 3877 positive cases with 01 active positive, 3821 recoveries and 55 deaths; Doda has 3440 positive cases(including 01 cases reported today) with02 Active positive, 3374 recovered and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3269 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)09 active positive cases, 3207 recovered and 53 deaths; Kishtwar has 2739 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 01 Active Positive, 2716 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and22 deaths; Samba has 2841 positive cases with 07active positive cases, 2794 recoveries and 40 deaths; Poonch has 2528 positive cases(including 01 cases reported today) with08active positive, 2496recoveriesand 24 deaths; Ramban has 2135 positive caseswith00 active positive cases, 2114 recoveries and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1649 positive with 01 active positive cases, 1632 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)and 16 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 127288 positive cases in J&K, 12558 have been reported as travelers while 114730 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1091 COVID dedicated beds, 962 Isolation beds with 957 vacant beds and 129 ICU beds where 125 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 1570 COVID dedicated beds, 1484 Isolation beds where 1413 beds are vacant and 86 ICU beds where 79are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 2661 COVID dedicated beds, 2446 Isolation beds with 2370 beds vacant and 215 ICU beds with 204 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
