Have Nothing to do with DAVP Letter: JKYJA
Srinagar, May 11, 2017: Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist Association JKYJA has expressed dismay, condemnation over some mysterious quarters trying to malign the image of their organization and using dirty tactics to hurt the journalistic fraternity.

We have come to know that mischief mongers using our name have addressed a letter to DAVP asking them to verify the circulation of newspapers and advertisement paradigms. JKYJA has made it clear that it has nothing to do with such letter and does not believe in any uncivilized manners. JKYJA has vowed to unveil the miscreants behind such dirty actions.

JKYJA stated – “We are deeply hurt and condemn the shameful act of notorious elements using the JKYJA name to create discord and sow seeds of dissension among the journalistic fraternity. JKYJA never believes in stooping so low or cribbing against our own brethren. At this juncture we appeal to all to help us to identify these anti social elements. We have never ever in our seven years had neither any sort of communication with DAVP nor any meeting.”

JKYJA stated that in times of media gag this could be very well planned design of some mischief persons on the behest of agencies not only to malign the name of Young Journalists of Kashmir but also to divide the journalist fraternity as whole including print and electronic media of Kashmir. We will not allow this doctrine to succeed and our statement is the message to all those conspirators who want to divide Kashmir journalists that we are unite and one.

We have also passed a resolution in the meeting that we together with all Kashmir based journalist associations including Kashmir Editors Guild, Jammu Kashmir Press Association, Jammu and Kashmir Editors Association will unearth and expose conspirators.
