Srinagar, May 15: Life in south Kashmir district of Shopian returned to normal after four days strike against the disappearance of a youth in police custody.
However, police has claimed that Zubair Ahmad, a known stone-pelter, had escaped from the police station on May I.
It is now reported that Ahmad has joined militants.
Shops and business establishments reopened and traffic was playing on all routes normally in this south Kashmir district after remaining suspended for four days.
Ahmad, a resident of Bona Bazar, Shopian, was arrested in 2015 under Public Safety Act (PSA) for his alleged involvement in stone pelting.
