RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said Friday that Pakistani was concerned over the repeated violations at the Line of Control (LoC).

According to the ISPR, Army Chief Kayani termed statements by the Indian military leadership, particularly the Indian Army Chief about Pakistan Army’s and ISI’s support to terrorism as unfortunate, unfounded and provocative.
General Kayani added that instead of making such baseless allegations, India would be well advised to respond positively to Pakistan’s suggestion for holding joint or impartial investigation into LoC incidents, preferably by the United Nations.
Pakistan Army was exercising restraint but the same should in no way be used as a pretext for leveling such baseless allegations that vitiate prospects of regional peace.
The COAS said that Pakistan Army is fully supportive of the peace process initiated by the government. The COAS made these remarks while talking to a group of officers at General Headquarters.
