CM meets Governor

JAMMU: Mr. Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister, met Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here this evening.
During their hour and a half long meeting, the Chief Minister briefed the Governor about the implementation of the various economic development programmes, including the launching of power projects. The Governor and the Chief Minister also discussed issues relating to the early establishment of Panchayati Raj institutions and the scheduled elections to Panchayat samitis and urban local bodies.
Issues relating to eradication of corruption and continuing improvement in the functioning of the governmental machinery were also discussed. (KMW NEWS)
