In an exclusive interview, She talks to Rameez Makhdoomi.
Your childhood days?
I considered my childhood as a golden period in my life which was filled with innocence, joy, and discovery. While Growing up, my childhood was characterized by a boundless imagination. My habit of dreaming not only entertained me but also nurtured my creativity, which has been invaluable throughout my life.
Being a Kashmiri My family were the cornerstones of my childhood. Weekly family gatherings were filled with laughter, storytelling, and delicious food that brought us closer together. Additionally, being part of a close-knit Kashmiri culture taught me the values of kindness, cooperation, and empathy. These social experiences have profoundly shaped my interpersonal skills and appreciation for diverse perspectives.
Reflecting on my childhood days fills me with gratitude and nostalgia. These formative years laid the foundation for the person I am today, and I carry the lessons learned and memories cherished with me as I navigate the complexities of adulthood.
How was your academic life like?
I would say it was a blend of exploration and growth. I was fortunate to have teachers who encouraged curiosity and a love for learning.
I have done my schooling from New Delhi & my high school was a pivotal time for me as it was where I began to hone my critical thinking skills and develop a deeper understanding of my interests & the importance of adaptability and resilience. I can say that each phase taught me to embrace change and seize opportunities for growth.
In short I can say my academic life was a journey of discovery that equipped me with the skills and knowledge to pursue my aspirations.
A bit about the Dubai journey?
As we all know Dubai is known for its towering skyscrapers, luxurious lifestyle, and vibrant culture & has been a significant chapter in my life’s journey. It’s a place where tradition meets modernity, offering unique blend of experiences. Me & my husband came to visit Dubai as a tourist &
When I first arrived in Dubai, I was immediately struck by its dynamic energy and the warmth of its people so I told my husband that I want to stay here and start some business as this city is a global business hub, offering a plethora of opportunities.
I can say my journey in Dubai has been trans formative as It has shaped me both personally and professionally, expanding my worldview and providing me with unforgettable experiences. This place. has endless possibilities, and I am grateful for the role it has played in my life’s story.
What about a female contractor in Dubai?
Being a female contractor is not an easy task, there have been challenges, particularly in gaining respect and trust in a male-dominated industry. Initially, there were doubts about my capabilities, but I let my work speak for itself. By consistently delivering high-quality projects and demonstrating strong leadership skills, I’ve been able to change perceptions. Building a supportive network and having mentors My husband & My father who believed in me & makes it easy in overcoming these hurdles… Alhamdulillah
A bit about your firm?
Our company started with swimming pool construction in Dubai. Swimming pool are the luxurious addition to the property so it requires expertise & adherence. So i choose to start from it & after that slowly& gradually we moved to residential & commercials. Now Alhamdulillah We are one stop shop.. From planing to design & Turnkey .We do All.
We do customized design interior works as well. Now Alhamdulillah I’m working with government departments as well.
Your role models?
I have two pivotal figures in my life my father & my husband.
My father taught me the value of hard work and integrity, instilling in me a sense of perseverance that has guided me through life’s challenges. His ability to remain calm and composed, even in difficult situations, is something I deeply admire. From him, I’ve learned the importance of patience and the power of listening before speaking.
My Father is my Pillar of Strength and Wisdom
On the other hand, my Husband inspires me through his boundless energy and passion for life. He encourages me to pursue my dreams and supports me in every endeavor, no matter how daunting it may seem. His ability to see the positive in every situation helps me maintain a balanced and optimistic outlook.
I can say that My Husband is my Source of Inspiration and Support.
Alhamdulillah both my father and husband have played instrumental roles in shaping who I am today. They have taught me invaluable life lessons and supported me in ways that words cannot fully express.
I am thankful to Allah for blessing me with such remarkable individuals who have guided me and influenced my journey.

I believe hobbies are essential because they allow us to escape from the daily grind and express our creativity & an opportunity for personal growth & help maintain a balanced lifestyle.
I have a diverse range of interests, but a few of my favorites include reading, listing music, walking on sea side
And this brings me joy and rejuvenates my spirit.
