Celebrate Urs of Hazrat Bulbul Shah (RA), Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA)

SRINAGAR: On the hills of Tossmadain the annual Urs of Hazrat Bulbul Shah Abdul Rehman Sharif-ud-Din (RA) and Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam Noor-ud-Din Noorani (RA) was celebrated with full fervor amidst spiritual atmosphere of Shabkhawani and Darud Azkar.
More than 20,000 people on the hills of Sitaharan where the shrines of Hazrat Bulbul Shah and Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam are existing assembled and paid tributes to these great saints. Hazrat Bulbul Shah who arrived Kashmir via Silk route and stayed in the bottom of the hills of Tosmadan and on the same place Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam had meditated for 12 years. The people of the areas like Khag, Arizal and Beerua attending the Urs every year to pay tributes to these Awliya-i-Kirams.
Moulana Maqbool Vice Chairman of these shrines and Jamia Masjid of the area while speaking on the occasion highlighted the contribution of these great saints in reforming the people of Kashmir and imbibing among them the spirit of brotherhood and mutual love.
Khawaja Renzu shah Chairman of these shrines in his telephonic address said that Kashmir is also known world over for its pluralist ethos and visionary outlook. It has achieved this distinction due to the sufi culture nurtured by the great saints and Awliakiram from time to time in all ages. This culture, he said has to be promoted to evolve a society based on justice, fair play and free from exploitation.
Mirwaiz Centre Moulana Lateef, Khateeb Jamia Masjid Beerua and his associates also paid rich tributes to these saints.
