New Delhi, October 16:The Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon, today met with the students of Government Degree College (GDC) Zanskar at the Ladakh Bhawan, Kargil Wing, New Delhi. The students are currently on a study cum exposure tour aimed at enhancing their academic understanding and practical insights through interactions and institutional visits in the national capital.

During the interaction, Dr. Akhoon warmly welcomed the students and appreciated their enthusiasm for learning beyond the classroom environment. He listened to their concerns and issues regarding educational facilities, career opportunities, and exposure-related challenges faced by students from remote areas like Zanskar.

The CEC assured the students that the LAHDC Kargil is committed to strengthening the education sector and supporting youth through various academic and skill development initiatives. He also encouraged the students to make the best use of such exposure visits to broaden their perspectives and contribute meaningfully to the development of Ladakh.

The meeting concluded with an interactive discussion where the students expressed gratitude to the CEC for his guidance, encouragement, and continued support toward improving educational opportunities in Zanskar and across the district.
