Kargil, Jan 11: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today met with a delegation of Beathang, Shilkchey.

The delegation, led by Councillor Mohd Amin, along with the Sarpanch and villagers, informed the CEC that the new ST route is planned to pass through a public area. They expressed concerns that this could potentially damage public property and pose risks to human lives.

The delegation also informed the CEC that the Army OFC line needs to either change its route or be routed underground.

The CEC Kargil directed the concerned officer from the PDD and directed to change the route according to the requirements of the locals as soon as possible. The CEC assured locals that the OFC line matter would be taken up with the concerned officials of the Army.
