CEC inspects ongoing construction of Ladakh Bhawan (Kargil Wing) in Delhi

Kargil, May 28: Hon’ble Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon inspected the ongoing construction work of Ladakh Bhawan (Kargil Wing) today at Dwarka, New Delhi. The CEC reviewed the progress of the project to ensure timely completion of the landmark infrastructure for the people of Kargil Ladakh.

Dr. Akhoon was accompanied by a team of senior officials, including, Mr. Santosh Kumar, Superintending Engineer, Civil, CPWD, Mr. Yograj Singh, Executive Engineer, Electrical, CPWD, Mr. Sadiq Ali, Executive Engineer, R&B Kargil, Assistant Executive Engineer, R&B Kargil, Assistant Engineers (AE) from R&B Kargil, CPWD Civil, and CPWD Electrical, Ms. Divya Kush, Architectural Consultant, the appointed contractor for the project.

During the inspection, the team reviewed various aspects of the building’s construction and finishing works currently in progress. Detailed discussions were held regarding quality standards, timelines, and coordination among the concerned departments to ensure smooth execution.

Superintending Engineer (Civil), CPWD, Mr. Santosh Kumar, assured the Hon’ble CEC that the project is progressing in good pace with the expected handover date set for September 30, 2025.

Dr. Akhoon expressed satisfaction over the pace of work and emphasized the importance of maintaining construction quality and meeting the target deadline.

He also acknowledged the efforts of all stakeholders and urged them to continue their commitment to completing this vital infrastructure which will serve as a key facilitation centre for residents and visitors from Kargil in the national capital.
