Budget: One percent DA, seventh pay commission for employees from April 18

Jammu, January 11 (KMW): Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu announced one percent DA to the state employees from July 1, 2017 and also reiterated that the Seventh Pay Commission will start from April 1, 2018.
The Pay Commission will have retrospective effect from January 2016, Drabu said. He also announced cadre review of secretariat employees and managing the anomalies with various cadres.
Drabu also announced that unmarried daughters of the employees will now be eligible to receive a pension.
For managing the housing requirements of the government employees, Drabu announced a Rs 500 crore SPV with J&K Bank and Estates Department to fast forward all the housing projects.
Serving the remote areas will now be incentivized and for this, a new schemes will be announced shortly
