BSF jawan hurt in mine blast in Poonch

Jammu: A Border Security Force jawan was seriously injured in a landmine explosion in forward area of bordering Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said today.

“The jawan, identified as Harminder Singh of 135 battalion BSF, was injured when he inadvertently stepped over a landmine, which exploded while patrolling near Kranti Post along the Line of Control last evening,” the official sources said.

The injured jawan was immediately rushed to local unit hospital and later referred to the Military Hospital in Poonch.
