BOSE to provide syllabus relaxation in examinations

SRINAGAR NOVEMBER 03: Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) Chairman, Zahoor Ahmad Chatt, today said the Board will provide relaxation in syllabus for class 10th and 12th examinations.
The Chairman said that BOSE is fully prepared to conduct examinations for class 10 from November 15 to November 28 and Class 12 from November 14 to December 3, as per already issued date sheet.
He said the main aim to conduct Examinations in present month is to save the academic year of the students. He said that in view of prevailing circumstances in the valley, BOSE had formulated Assessment Scheme in Question papers in which papers have been set in way as to provide relaxation in the syllabus.
Giving details he said that every question paper will have Long Answer Type, Short Answer Type, Very Short Answer Type and Objective Type (Multiple Choice). If a student had studied only fifty percent of the syllabus, he/she will easily attempt all marks in a question paper, he added. In Language subjects, the Students will have to attempt only 50 marks out of maximum of 100 marks.
The Chairman further said that State Government has made all the necessary arrangements for safety of the candidates and for smooth, free and fair examinations in the valley.
He added that any injured candidate will have to submit an application with all medical records to the BOSE so that a helper can be provided to such candidate.
Joint Secretary (Secrecy) M.A. Jallu, Joint Secretary (Examination) Syed Rouf and Director Academics (BOSE) Kaneez Fatima were also present on the occasion.
