India has put to shame the Israeli tactics: PPP

Srinagar, Nov 4: A high level meeting of the party executives of People’s Political Party (PPP) was conducted at the PPP headquarters here today. The party mulled over a variety of proposals to strengthen the movement and also discussed how to counter India’s brutal and murderous highhandedness in the Valley and make the international fraternity fully aware of it. The executives unanimously agreed that a more concrete and comprehensive democratic initiative is needed to name and shame India internationally and portray the Kashmir issue and effect a resolution as per the aspirations of the people.
The meeting strongly condemned the stringent and inhuman measures taken by the state police and the paramilitary at the behest of the Home Ministry of India to brutalize Kashmiris and crush their resolve.
“India has put to shame the Israeli tactics as far as Kashmir is concerned. The Indian media, which is only an extension of the home ministry of India rather than an objective entity, creates a huge furor when an Indian soldier dies at the border but the scores of innocent killings in Kashmir valley at the hands of the Indian forces doesn’t count for it,” said the party spokesman in a statement issued here today. He condemned in the strongest words the Jamia Masjid lockdown that went into the 19th consecutive Friday without a prayer.
“Our Chairman, Engineer Hilal War, wasn’t allowed once again to offer Friday prayers on consecutive 19th Friday in a mosque and was put under house arrest,” said the spokesman adding, “We condemn the continuous detention of APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, APHC’s leaders, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam and Mukhtar Ahmed Waza.”
