New Delhi: Youths of right-wing Hindu extremist group Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, who thrashed lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan for his remarks on Jammu and Kashmir, today defended their act saying that sometimes it is necessary to take a step like this.

“Our fight is against division of India. We believe in law but when law does not take its own course, it becomes necessary to deal in this way with people who want to divide India,” right-wing group president Tejinder Singh Bagga told a press conference here.
He along with Vishnu Gupta of the group and Inder Verma of Sri Ram Sena beat up Mr Bhushan in his chamber in the Supreme Court for favouring referendum on the issue of Kashmir.
All the three were granted bail by a Delhi court.
“If needed we will do it again whether it is over the division of Kashmir or Khalistan,” he said.
He also asked veteran social activist Anna Hazare to remove Mr Bhushan from his team.
The group claimed of have about 125 active members in Delhi.
