Kargil, Dec 20: Administrative Secretary, Bhupesh Choudhary and Secretary, Shashanka Ala in the Union Territory of Ladakh today called on Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon at his office at Council Secretariat, Kargil.

The meeting commenced with CEC extending a warm welcome to the visiting officers. During the interaction, a wide range of administrative issues were discussed.

CEC Dr Akhoon provided a comprehensive overview of the priorities and challenges faced by various departments in the region, emphasising the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the developmental needs of Ladakh.

The CEC informed about various developmental works under RDD, such as Rock Garden at Suru Valley. He also discussed matters related to disaster management and instructed for the timely release of funds for the financial year 2023-24.

Dr Akhoon addressed the concerns of transport permits and land compensations under the NHIDCL. He also called for early resolutions to ensure smoother project implementation.

The CEC also instructed for new projects and new plans for the development of Kargil.

Further, he also discussed strengthening Akashvani Kargil by reinstating positions like Deputy Director General (DDG) and Cluster Head, underlining their importance in enhancing communication services in the region.

Both Bhupesh Choudhary and Shashanka Ala assured their commitment to working closely with the LAHDC, Kargil for the betterment of the district.
