Bhalla lays foundation of Rs. 2.18 cr Community Hall for Jain community

JAMMU: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Mr. Raman Bhalla has said the Government was committed to provide all infrastructure facilities to every section of the society which include safe drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, healthcare sewerage and other community facilities.
This was stated by the Minister while addressing a large gathering after laying foundation stone of 3-storey Jain Community Hall at Panama Chowk near Bahu Plaza, estimated to cost Rs. 2.18 crore.
The community hall would be constructed over an area of 12168 sq feet.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma, Financial Commissioner Revenue Mr. Parmod Jain, SSP Mr. Anand Jain, SE R&B Mr. P L Bhushan, besides members of Jain community were present on the occasion.
Mr. Bhalla said the multipurpose community hall would be constructed on modern lines with the facilities of parking slot, landscaping, kitchen and toilet blocks. He asked the executing agency to complete the prestigious project within stipulated time so that the targeted Community could be benefitted at the earliest. He said on its completion they can arrange their social as well as religious functions on nominal fee.
The Minister reiterated that the Government was committed to equitable development of all the regions and sections of the State and sought the cooperation of the people in the implementation of developmental and welfare schemes. He called upon the people to maintain peace as it was key to speedy completion of all the ongoing projects. He said people of the State have faced lot of difficulties during turmoil, and most of areas remained undeveloped. He said focus of the present regime was to develop every corner of the State especially neglected areas at par with urban pockets by providing all infrastructure facilities. He said there is no constraint of funds in providing all basic amenities to them.
Mr. Bhalla said the Government has taken some bold and historical steps to revive overall developmental profile of the State. He said sectors like PHE, health, R&B, education, tourism, power among other sectors have received focus attention of the Government adding it was due to its pro-people policy that the masses at present benefited by quality education, healthcare facilities at their doorsteps.
The Minister appealed the people to cooperate with the executing agencies in completing the ongoing prestigious projects executed under PMGSY, R&B, Health, Power, PHE and Education sectors in their respective areas. He stressed upon the executing agency to redouble their efforts and accelerate pace of all ongoing works in their respective jurisdictions. He directed them to ensure use of quality material in execution of the works, adding that the objective of the Government is to build durable basic infrastructure across the State for providing better facilities to the people.
Earlier, the Minister also kick-started mecademisation work of internal links at Govindpura in old Satwari, for which Government has earmarked Rs. 4.80 lakh.
