Jammu: A fresh batch of 3,286 pilgrims today left for the holy Amarnath cave shrine situated in South Kashmir Himalayas under tight security arrangements.
The batch this morning left from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp here, an official spokesman said.
“The batch comprising 2199 males, 922 females, 17 children and 148 sadhus this morning at around 0500 hrs left for the Amarnath in a convoy of 127 vehicles, including 40 SRTC buses, 28 private and 59 Light Motor Vehicles,” the spokesman added.
