Australian diplomats meets Mirwaiz

Srinagar: Brendan Hodgson and Sarah Kirlew of the Australian High Commission in New Delhi Tuesday called upon the chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, at his Nageen residence here.According to a spokesman, Mirwaiz appraised the delegation of the “gross human rights violations in the state and the killing of Moulana Showkat Ahmad Shah.”“Mirwaiz urged the delegation to apprise the Australian government about the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir and press India for resolving the issue,” the spokesman.
