Jammu, January 20 (KMW): The opposition National conference and congress staged a walkout on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly.
As soon as the proceedings of the house started the opposition members stood up from their seats and protest over the civilian casualties by firing in border and demanded a statement from the government.
They shouted slogans against the government and criticized the BJP raised slogans like “BJP hihi” “56 inch a seena HiHi” “RSS sarkar HiHi” “Murabad BJP” “Nalaik Sarkar” “56 Inch shame shame” and “Bazdil Sarkar hihi”.
Nc legislator Ali Mohammad Sagar said that the government has totally failed to protect the civilians.
The NC targeted the MoS in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh who, Ali Mohammad Sagar said has accused opposition parties of “being anti-national”.
“What has Dr Jitendra Singh said? This is condemnable,” Sagar told the house. “Are we anti-nationals? BJP has failed in safeguarding the lives of people.”
MLA Pahalgam Altaf Ahmad criticized the BJp over their remarks of 56-inch chest of the PM.
He said that “where is “56-inch chest now remain only 6 inch”.
Minister for parliamentary affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri and Javid Mustafa Mir request the opposition members to sit in their seat government will issue a statement.
Later opposition members staged walkout amid slogans.
