Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura today celebrated Basant Panchmi with full vivacity and enthusiasm at its campus. The College was decorated with yellow flowers, kites & rangoli. Everyone wore yellow, Green clothes and Yellow sweets were also distributed among all present on this occasion.
To start the celebrations Sarswati Puja was performed. The students participated in various competitions including kite flying, fancy dress etc organized on this day. They showcased the vibrant tradition of Punjab depicting the spirit of inner freedom, creative pride and zest for life.
This year Basant Panchami will be celebrated on 26 January 2023. It is to be mentioned that according to the Hindu calendar, Basant Panchami festival falls on the fifth day (Panchami) of the Hindu month of Magha. The festival is usually considered to mark the onset of spring in India.
