Srinagar: Another module of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) was busted in the Kashmir valley, a police spokesman said here this evening.
Yesterday police busted two modules of the same outfit in north Kashmir and arrested six militants, who were planning to target politicians, security and police officers.
He said police at Anantnag busted the module of the militants who were planning to recruit youth in the militancy.
Police arrested Younis Ahmad Makroo and during his questioning he admitted that he alongwith other members of the module had arranged weapon and delivered them to militants operating in Tral area of Pulwama district.
Later, all his associates Shakoor-ul-Mansoor Parray, Tawseef Hussain Bhat, Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Shafi Bhat and Mohammad Younis Bhat were arrested.
The module was involved in arranging and transportation of weapons and were also been facilitating the movement of militants by providing them information about the deployment of security forces in the area.
The module had also recruiting some youths into the militancy.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigation is still going on. (KMW News)
