Amid rising Coronavirus pandemic calls for closing Srinagar Schools Grow

Srinagar District is emerging as epicenter of Coronavirus in the Jammu and Kashmir region, with situation going from bad to worse .

People are urging that Schools should be immediately closed down so that Coronavirus spread in the Srinagar can be stopped.

The few students of prestigious Biscoe School located in the heart of Srinagar city had to be closed after few students tested positive.

Similarly, a number of non teaching staff in the Green Valley Education Institute located at Illahibagh Srinagar tested positive few days back.

Concerned parents are calling upon the authorities to close schools in Srinagar immediately and resort back to the online mode of education.

Haroon Chowdhary , a concerned parent stated :” The pandemic of Coronavirus is ragging throughout world and in India to the Coronavirus pandemic position is getting out of hand and infact going from bad to worse .  We urge upon the authorities to immediately close down all schools so that kids and elders are saved and schools do not become super-spreaders.”

Along with school closure the chorus for entire Srinagar lockdown is being urged.

Malik Sameena, a Housewife also appealed that online mode of education should be restored back and schools closed as situation with every passing moment is getting much worse.

Today only, J&K Reports 373 new cases of COVID-19, Srinagar records 159 new cases highest cases in this year.

The hope is that all steps including School closure would be implemented to contain Coronavirus in Srinagar District.
