JAMMU, APRIL 01: The Government on Thursday informed that 461 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 100 from Jammu division and 361 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 131421. Also 04 COVID-19 deaths have been reported, 01 from Jammu Division and 03 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 114 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 36 from Jammu Division and 78 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 131421 positive cases, 2874 are Active Positive, 126549 have recovered and 1998have died; 737 in Jammu division and 1261 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 6089662test results available, 5958241 samples have been tested as negative till 01stApril, 2021.
Till date 1515253 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 34928 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 2874 in isolation and 123318in home surveillance. Besides, 1352135 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 29219 positive cases (including 157 cases reported today) with 1158 Active Positive, 27589recovered (including 50 cases recovered today), 472 deaths; Baramulla has 8924 positive cases (including 76 cases reported today)with 415Active Positive, 8328 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 181 deaths; Budgam reported 8234 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today)with 180 active positive cases, 7934 recovered (including 08cases recovered today), 120 deaths; Pulwama has 6002 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today)with 88 Active Positive, 5882 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today)and 92 deaths; Kupwara has 5817 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today), 76 Active Positive, 5644recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today), 97 deaths; Anantnag district has 5194 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today)with 58 Active Positive, 5042 recovered, 94 deaths; Bandipora has 4768 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today), with33 Active Positive and 4672 recoveries, 63 deaths; Ganderbal has 4723 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today)with 28 Active Positive, 4647 recoveriesand48deaths; Kulgam has 2848 positive cases (including 49 cases reported today)with 88 Active Positive, 2706 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today)and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2651 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today),26 active positive cases, 2585 recoveries and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 25973 positive cases (including 61 cases reported today) with 519 active positive cases, 25073recoveries (including 26 cases recovered today), 381 deaths; Udhampur has 4365 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today), 31active positive cases, 4277 recoveriesand57 deaths; Rajouri has 3899 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today)with 16 active positive, 3827 recoveries and 56 deaths; Doda has 3456 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with06 Active positive, 3386 recovered and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3350 positive cases (including 21 cases reported today), 65 active positive cases, 3232 recovered(including 05 cases recovered today) and 53 deaths; Kishtwar has 2756 positive cases with 17 Active Positive, 2717 recoveriesand22 deaths; Samba has 2867 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today)with 19 active positive cases, 2807 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today)and 41 deaths; Poonch has 2551 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today)with23active positive, 2502recoveriesand 26 deaths; Ramban has 2159 positive caseswith21 active positive cases, 2117 recoveries and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1665 positive with 07 active positive cases, 1642 recoveries and 16 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 131421 positive cases in J&K, 13451 have been reported as travelers while 117970 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1091 COVID dedicated beds, 962 Isolation beds with 927 vacant beds and 129 ICU beds where 109 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 1570 COVID dedicated beds, 1484 Isolation beds where 1375 beds are vacant and 86 ICU beds where 72are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 2661 COVID dedicated beds, 2446 Isolation beds with 2302 beds vacant and 215 ICU beds with 181vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
