Srinagar, April 08 (KMW): In the first of its significant development, three Kashmiri based young Journalists have been asked by an American based prestigious Peace and Activism Group to make a documentary entitled as ‘Peace and Hope’.
Apart from working with other local and national Newspapers the trio comprising of Mr. Rameez Makhdoomi, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad War and Mr. Bilal Bashir Bhat are presently running separate News portals Kashmir Media Watch and Only Kashmir respectively.
The three journalists via their power of pen have made a mark by writing on diverse issues of Human concern and have displayed their intellectual dynamism on various forums and platforms.
The documentary titled ‘Peace and Hope’ will be the first of its kind as scripted by the trio. It is learnt that work on shooting the documentary would begin soon and it is expected to be released by mid June/July 2014. The documentary is expected to focus on numerous positive paradigms of Humanity and ethos of Kashmir. In account of the documentary the trio is scheduled to visit various places within Jammu and Kashmir.
Notingly, Kashmir Peace Network: Planting Seeds of Peace in Kashmir, is a non-profit, non-political advocacy group, advocating non-violence and peaceful strategy for conflict resolution.
Pertinent to mention here, the trio in 2012 along with other dozens of Young Journalists of Valley formulated an association “Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist Association†which works to address the problems faced by the media fraternity especially the young media professionals who usually face tough times at the start of their career.
