Bangalore: Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) and Tata Elxsi today said all their employees at facilities in Japan are safe.
TKM Managing Director Hiroshi Nakagawa said in a statement here that most of the plants of Toyota Motor Corporation have not been affected “at this point of time” but did not give figures of the number of people.
The company is, however, assessing the extent of damage to operations of its affiliates, dealer partners and supplier partners located in the affected areas, he said, adding TKM operations have not been affected.
TKM meanwhile postponed the March 15 inauguration of its second plant near Bidadi on the outskirts of the city to a later date in view of the tsunami in Japan.
Tata Elxsi said there has been no damage to its facilities in Japan.
