Acting CEC chairs review meeting for upcoming Suru Festival 2025

Kargil, May 26: Acting Chief Executive Councillor and EC Tourism, LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Mohd Feroz, today chaired a preparatory review meeting related to the upcoming Suru Festival 2025.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director Tourism Kargil Mohammad Ali Tak, besides the Ernst & Young team on behalf of the Tourism Department of UT Ladakh.

During the meeting, threadbare deliberations and discussions were followed to assess different ideas and objectives related to the successful conduct of the Suru Festival.

Ernst & Young representative, Abhijeet Singh delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation from E&Y regarding the proposal for the upcoming festival.

The EC tourism said further deliberation and discussion will be done on the proposal after the CEC, LAHDC Kargil, reviews the presentation.

The EC appreciated the proposal and said further discussion needs to be done with the concerned councillors and the AKTTA team. He added that the idea of Tent City and inviting the National Geographic team, tour operators, and social media influencers is very interesting, and possible efforts need to be made to firm up the proposal after the budgetary allocations for the project are cleared.

Kacho Mohd Feroz acknowledged that focused initiatives need to be done for the successful conduct of the event, such as paragliding, besides rafting can be explored
