JAMMU, FEBRUARY 14: The Government on Sunday informed that 73 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 15 from Jammu division and 58 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 125341.Also 02 COVID-19 deaths have been reported;01 from Jammu Division and 01 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 65 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 16 from Jammu Division and 49 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 125341 positive cases, 622 are Active Positive, 122768 have recovered and 1951 have died; 725 in Jammu division and 1226 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 4846627 test results available, 4721286 samples have been tested as negative till 14thFebruary, 2021.
Till date 1218505 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 33973 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 622 in isolation and 105985 in home surveillance. Besides, 1075974 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 26529 positive cases (including 37 cases reported today) with 217 Active Positive, 25852 recovered (including 36 cases recovered today), 460 deaths; Baramulla has 8158 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 28 Active Positive, 7955 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 175 deaths; Budgam reported 7822 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today)with 38 active positive cases, 7666 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 118 deaths; Pulwama has 5788 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today)with 38 Active Positive, 5662 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today)and 88 deaths; Kupwara has 5671 positive cases,06 Active Positive, 5569 recoveries, 96 deaths; Anantnag district has 4959 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today)with 46 Active Positive, 4827 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 86 deaths; Bandipora has 4703 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with13 Active Positive and 4628 recoveries, 62 deaths; Ganderbal has 4660 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today) with 47 Active Positive, 4566 recoveriesand47 deaths; Kulgam has 2709 positive caseswith 14 Active Positive, 2641 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2584 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with15 active positive cases, 2529 recoveriesand 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 25089 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 85 active positive cases, 24631 recoveries (including 13 cases recovered today), 373 deaths; Udhampur has 4236 positive cases25active positive cases, 4154 recoveriesand 57 deaths; Rajouri has 3873 positive caseswith 04 active positive, 3814 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and 55 deaths; Doda has 3436 positive caseswith06 Active positive, 3366 recoveredand 64 deaths; Kathua has 3256 positive caseswith 0 active positive cases, 3203 recoveredand 53 deaths; Kishtwar has 2733 positive caseswith 01 Active Positive, 2710 recoveries;22 deaths; Samba has 2835 positive caseswith 09 active positive cases, 2786 recoveriesand 40 deaths; Poonch has 2519 positive caseswith (including 01 cases reported today)24 active positive, 2471recoveriesand 24 deaths; Ramban has 2135 positive caseswith00 active positive cases, 2114 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1646 positivewith 06 active positive cases, 1624 recoveriesand 15 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 125341 positive cases in J&K, 11927 have been reported as travelers while 113414 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1091 COVID dedicated beds, 962 Isolation beds with 960 vacant beds and 129 ICU beds where 121 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 1570 COVID dedicated beds, 1484 Isolation beds where 1435 beds are vacant and 86 ICU beds where 74are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 2661 COVID dedicated beds, 2446 Isolation beds with 2395 beds vacant and 215 ICU beds with 195 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
