41147 Gazetted, non-Gazetted posts vacant in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, January 30 (KMW): In unemployment-ridden Jammu and Kashmir, at least 41,147 posts are lying vacant in different departments, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti informed the Legislative Assembly on Monday.
In her written response to a question by MLA Kangan Main Altaf Ahmad, the Chief Minister said 6034 gazetted and 35113 non-gazetted posts are lying vacant.
The Chief Minister reply reads that in School Education Department 2153 posts of gazetted and 9448 Non-gazetted posts are lying vacant.
In Higher Education Department, 1109 posts of Gazetted and 332 Non-gazetted posts are lying vacant. Similarly, in Health and Medical Education department, a total 1128 posts of Gazetted and Non-gazetted cadre are lying vacant.
In Ladakh Affairs department, 568 posts of Gazetted and 1542 Non-gazetted posts are falling vacant.In Home department, 118 posts of Gazetted and 6704 Non-gazetted posts are falling vacant.
In General Administration Department 512 posts of Gazetted rank and 186 posts of Non-gazetted cadre are lying vacant. In Technical Education & Youth Services and Sports Department, 1466 posts of posts of Gazetted and Non-gazetted cadre are falling vacant.In PWD (R&B) Department, 177 posts of Gazetted and 772 Non-gazetted posts are lying vacant.
In PHE, I&FC 1633 posts of Non-gazetted cadre are lying vacant.In Power Development Department (PDD), 167 posts of Gazetted and 315 Non-gazetted cadre posts are Lying Vacant.In Agriculture Production department, 268 posts of Gazetted and 970 Non-gazetted posts are lying vacant. In Forest department, 100 posts of Gazetted and 1549 Non-gazetted cadre are lying vacant. In Social Welfare Department,
In Rural Development Department 1341 posts of Non-gazetted and 159 posts of Gazetted cadre are falling vacant whereas, in Information department, 30 posts of gazetted and 309 posts of Non-gazetted are lying vacant. In FCS&CA department, 310 posts of Non-gazetted cadre and three posts of Gazetted cadre are lying vacant.
In Finance department, total 1194 posts of Non-gazetted cadre and 45 posts of Gazetted cadre are falling vacant whereas, in Planning department, 328 posts of Non-gazetted cadre and 89 posts of Gazetted cadre are falling vacant. In Cooperatives department, 244 posts of Non-gazetted cadre and 115 posts of Gazetted cadre are falling vacant, in Revenue department 1932 posts of Non-gazetted cadre while in Industries and Commerce Department 757 posts of Non-gazetted cadre and 43 posts of Gazetted cadre are lying vacant while other departments also contributed in vacant post quota.
The Chief Minister informed the House that around 2790 posts were referred to the JK Public Service Commission (PSC) while as 5937 posts were referred to JK Service Selection Board (JKSSB) and 6039 posts were referred to J&K Police Recruitment Board in the last two years.
