4000 Scouts and Guides participated in Mega Annual Rally in Sgr

Chib, Renzushah, Faktoo honoured by Scouts.

SRINAGAR: Minister for Medical education, Youth Services and Sports Mr. R.S. Chib today said that the basic aim of the Scouts and Guides is to contribute for the preservation of natural environment and ecology besides, achieving moral character and discipline.
Minister was addressing at a mega Scouts and Guides Annual Rally 2012 organized by J&K Scouts and Guides Association at Indoor Stadium Srinagar. The rally was attended by about 4 thousand scouts from 30 educational institutes of the valley.
Chief Commissioner J&K Scouts and Guides, Kh Farooq Renzushah, Secretary School Education, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Faktoo, Joint Secretary Education, Mr. Fida, Joint Director Information, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan, officers of Sports Council, heads of various educational Institutes and large number of sports lovers were present on the occasion.
Minister appreciated the efforts being put in by the organizers and hard work for making such mega event which plays pivotal role in shaping and guiding for achieving their goal. He said that it was with the help of J&K Scouts and Guides that use of polythene was brought at zero which shall e remembered.
Minister also applauded the role of teachers and parents of the Scouts who inspires and encourages them for such extra-curricular activities. He also hailed the contribution and efforts of Kh Farooq Renzushah and his team and said thinking and aspirations of students need right direction which will prove beneficial for community.
He said that government is keenly observing working of J&K Scouts and Guides and Bharat Scouts and Guides. He said that both are working for the upliftment and betterment of youth besides acquainting and, making them disciplined and morally sound.
Mr. Chib said both the organizations are pioneer in the Scouts field therefore he would like that both should play key role jointly in order to encourage youth.
Chief Commissioner J&K Scouts and Guides Association, Kh. Farooq Renzushah in his welcome address said that these scouts will render volunteer services for the community especially for needy and helpless people. He said Scouts considered the rendering of services to people as a triumph of scouts’ movement.
On the occasion a march past and marshal art was presented by the Scouts besides, Mr. Renzushah was honoured by the scouts for the selection of his novel at Hyderabad University for M Phil research.
A film on performance of J&K Scouts and Guides was also presented on the occasion.
Later Minister distributed awards and certificates to the scouts who participated in the rally. (KMW News)
